To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This works really well on those recess light bulbs that are't nice and flat and instead have got a bulbous shape to the front lens which the smaller suckers wont stick to. These are almost the same diameter as the bulbs, and they stick really well. The long handle makes locating them into deep fittings (usually a nightmare) very easy , too.
The theory is great, and when tried on a smooth flat surface it looks like a godsend. But try it on a GU10 bulb with a convex surface or, even worse, a bulb with indentations on it (as most of mine seem to be) and it is absolutely useless.
So the drivers in some of our bulbs are failing and need replacing. I can't get them out by hand so I got this tool that says it can extract GU10 bulbs. But it creates absolutely no grip on the surface of the bulb. What a waste.
