I wanted a low profile bag for my travels but since coronavirus hit, it didn't quite happen. Although I gotta say the design is very sleek and clean. Compact, tried fitting my 15 ''' inch laptop and it did, just right. Would've given it 5 stars if it were slightly bigger! Overalll, compact compartments, non complicated design.
However on arrival one of the zip holders for the zip wasn't nailed down all the way and as a result, the zip clasp has come off. I received this abroad on 2 month trip away so didn't have time to return it.
Shame as a result I can't say it has great build quality, but otherwise it is a good sized bag with good compartments.
Just used this bag on our trip to Ireland (my daughter has one as well and used hers on same trip). It fit everything we needed to carry around from airport to daytrips. The security features put us at ease. The only thing I would change is to add a zip pocket within the front “wallet” portion to use for cash (bills and coins). It was comfortable to wear all day/evening. Most days it held passport wallet, sunglass case, water bottle, rain jacket or sweater, cosmetic bag, foldable shopping bag...and often little purchases made along the way.
Overall, this was a very handy bag for my recent trip to London, UK. It was surprisingly comfortable and easy to wear even when filled, and I felt everything inside was secure. I struggled a bit at first with how to open quickly the main zipper, it seemed a bit stiff and because the opening is not straight across you have nothing to pull the zipper against, but then I got the hang of it. Being able to lock the zippers was a very helpful security feature. The size of the bag was also excellent - not too big and bulky (so it was somewhat an elegant bag), but big enough for daily essentials (wallet, water bottle, book, phone, extra battery, other little odds and ends) plus extra room for souvenirs. I found 2 things irritating about the bag: 1. there were actually too many little pockets which were actually not deep enough to really hold anything securely (looked like they were made for credit cards - but I would rather have all that in my wallet). What wold have been extremely helpful would have been a little pocket on one of the straps or at the back for easy and quick access to a travel card. 2. I have a very small wallet which fit into a zippered pocket in the main part of the bag so I felt it was very secure. But if my wallet was a regular size, it would not have fit, and then I would have had to put it at the bottom in the main part of the bag, which would have been a pain to access and felt less secure. That being said, I am very happy I had this bag for my travels, and would recommend it!
I've been eyeing various anti-theft backpack models for the last few months. I am, without a doubt, very happy that I chose this one of the multiple selections available.
We all know that anti-theft backpacks, particularly from bigger brand names like Pacsafe and Travelon, come with a hefty price tag, but this one is actually more on the lower side of the pricing spectrum. So many backpacks are priced around the $100 mark, and this one is atleast $20 cheaper.
The bag is definitely stylish and is perfect for roaming around cities on your travels, or for daily commuting use. The material is sturdy and waterproof. The straps are thin yet comfortable without digging into your skin even if its heavily loaded. The bag itself is deep. You can put a lot more things than you would initially think could fit in it. There are more than 10 pockets (if you individually count the RFID slots as one). The pocket on the main zipper flap is very handy for storing items you would need to be in reach (I placed my headphones, puffer, hair ties, and hand sanitizer in it).
The zipper clips/locks are all sturdy and easy to use. I had a fear that it would break easily due to how flimsy it kind of looks, but it handled the pressure I placed on it. Also the zipper lock on the pocket with the RFID slots is a bit tricky to lock and unlock so I say to play around with it first.
The only real issue I had with the bag is how easy it is for the net pocket to get caught on the zipper on one of the side pockets. It happened to me twice and the second time around, too much of the net got caught so I didnt try taking it off from the zipper as I was worried that it would cause the net to rip. The side pocket does open up pretty big so I still have no issues loading it up.
Other than, the bag is excellent and definitely worth the money!
This backpack provided peace of mind on our trip to the Netherlands, knowing my items were securely protected. However, accessing the various pockets was inconvenient and time-consuming because you needed to sling it off your back and find a surface so you Oudorp put it down since it was not an easy task to access the pockets to pay for or stow anything. Once it was down on the counter, table or floor, you had to fumble to find then release the zipper. It was also impossible to carry anything else on your shoulder, like a shopping bag, as long as you had the backpack on. On the positive side, there was room to stow an umbrella, sweater, light jacket or small purchases which left your hands free, and it stood up well to the rain we had on our trip. The slots for credit cards, ID etc also worked well. One improvement i’d suggest, is making the zipper for the money/ID compartment 2-way with the catch in the middle so it would be easier to locate and open just half way if desired. There is also no good place to store cash, so you still needed some kind of wallet.
Absolutely loved this backpack for the majority of our trip and would have given it 5 stars however near the end of our 2 week trip the zipper lock to the front card pocket broke, which is arguably the most important zipper. Material seemed to be of great quality and water resistant. Backpack actually held all of the essentials and then some.
Nice, light, small, with many compartments. The anti-theft feature is small snapping carabiners attached to zipper pullers. While they do prevent someone from unzipping your backpack, they themselves are pretty easy to open. So take it with a grain of salt.
