I bought this product to have music when my expensive hifi system has issues and leaves me without music in my house. Wanted a radio, cassette & CD player with possibility of plugging my iphone as the unit does not have bluetooth. The unit came from the US to Australia and played without faults from set up. For the money ( it cost me one tenth of my speaker cables), I was not disappointed. Loved to hear my old cassettes that were recorded on a Nakamichi tape deck 20 years ago....they sounded very good. Cd and radio also sound good; heaps of features on the handset. Only thing to be careful of is that you must ensure the power selector on the bottom of the unit is on the correct voltage for your country e.g. 240V as it is in Australia. User guide can be read on the web before purchasing. Well recommended.
This boombox is performing very well. It has excellent sound for a smaller unit, and fills the room with reasonably good quality sound. One option I like is the inclusion of a cassette deck. Some of us older listeners still have dwindling libraries of cassette-recorded material, so it's a plus. The CD playback has a tray-type drawer, which I feel may increase the reliability of this type of system. All of the boomboxes which I had in the past failed on CD's due to the top load mechanism lid failing to lock down once the CD was loaded into the player. You had to resort to placing heavy objects on the lid to get a playback of your CD's. I hope that the tray-type load-up is more dependable than the older spring and catch lids seen on the older or cheaper boomboxes.
I've had this boombox for almost five months now and I 'm really pleased with It. It has beautiful sound, it's easy to operate, and very affordable. It works well in a small to mid-size room. As a senior, I was pleased to find one with a tape player, since I still have a box of my favorite tapes. The instructions good be better. The letters are very small and they refer to two models at the same time which can be a bit confusing. But overall, I would recommend this boombox to anyone looking for one in this price range.
I am delighted that I replaced my SONY STEREO system cassette to cassette recorder, which died last week after 28 year's of service with this model. I paid attention to the reviews. My extensive cassette collection will sound as good as it can after listening to them from excellent Bose speakers. The fact there's also a jack for headphones is also a plus. Go ahead and buy this product, you deserve the superior quality of sound produced by a boombox. I am not a Base fan. I like balancing the sounds. There's plenty of Base.
I bought this radio because of the Panasonic name. I've never been disappointed in one of their radios. Everything works great and for a small radio it has a wonderful sound. I love the fact that I can plug my MP3 player in and listen to that as well. I have no complaints about this unit at all...……..
The price of this unit is worth every penny because of the great sound quality from this amazing portable box! I have done my research on amazon, other websites and in local stores for the best sound quality box and settled for this little gem. It's easy to use and I am very happy with it....highly recommended it!
I love this stereo. It sounds great, simple to use and does everything I need it to. Worth every penny. Comes well packaged and even though I have a lot of experience with Panasonic systems and did a lot of research I was still surprised I loved it so much.
Awesome sound and more than enough volume for me IMO. The only thing I was disappointed with was the 10> on the remote. If you have a few hundred tunes on an MP3 player, you can only go up to 99 and after that you have to skip forward one song at a time. If you last listened to #250 you'll need to skip one song at a time (about 5 sec each tune to skip) to increase by one to get to #251. I haven't figured out a fix yet, unless you keep the boombox on. That the only thing I can fault.
I bought this for my mother who still has a mix of cassettes and CD for her music. She also wants to record her singing! it is easy and works great. I just wish that it could record to USB. it only records to cassette.
Looking for a powerful yet fairly stylish looking boom box? This is it. I did not expect such sound quality from this little thing and was pleasantly surprised. All works as advertised (I did not play any tapes ) . Really nice equalizer too. Clear highs ,vibrant lows.
