To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
While the photography and the writing are beautifully done and noteworthy, I didn't have much to take away from the recipes themselves. The book hinges in between "kinda authentic" and "kinda fusion," and the recipes are caught in between, without a distinctive flavor of their own. Even if the intentions were to remain in the gray area, the recipes fall short of establishing any type of flavorful identity. If you're looking for authentic recipes, this book isn't it. If you're looking for something truly fusion, this isn't it either. If you're looking for a nice balance of the two, this still isn't it.
