Product is good however the gold on the lid of the pot flakes off in little pieces and while applying and handling the pot I’m finding I get small pieces of it sticking to my face! Initially I thought it was glitter then I could see that the gold was coming off the lid. This is a bad flaw and spoils what is a good product. I’ve bought this more than once and it’s the only one that’s had such a problem so it then makes me wonder if it’s even a genuine item?!
This foundation goes on smoothly and gives medium coverage, just a bit heavier than the tinted moisturiser I use at weekends. I found it easy to apply with my fingers alone and didn't need to be smoothed out with a brush. It lasted a full day (well the 12 hours or so I was wearing make-up) without caking.
As for the 'lift and firm' claims, I haven't noticed a huge difference and I use so many products (serum, moisturiser, foundation etc) that if I did I wouldn't know which product to thank! I don't usually expect my foundation to do the job of a night cream so I wouldn't buy it for that reason alone. Although I liked the coverage it provided the price would put me off purchasing this in future.
This foundation is a little too heavy for my liking and I much prefer the Elizabeth Arden mineral powder (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003BEF7U0) for a more natural look.
But for those who need more coverage, or for evening events, this product goes on smoothly and produces a velvety matt finish, and is a good base for other make up such as blusher. It is also long lasting.
