The Sewell Deadbolt Banana plugs are pretty easy to put together and they are very solid once screwed down. Use care when stripping the wire and folding the wire strands down through the barrel side onto the serrated sleeve of the connector. Then, hold the Barrel side steady and twist just the threaded banana plug side until tight! if you twist the Barrel side or both sides of the connector at the same time, it messes-up the stranded wire with the Barrel side's serrated sleeve and you have to start all over again. Remember to just hold the Barrel side steady and twist the threaded banana plug side until tight... You can also slide the serrated sleeve out a little bit of the barrel side to make it really easy to fold the stripped wire down perfectly, then push the sleeve back in (clearing any frayed and stray wire strands) from the thread path, or you will have problems starting to thread the two sides of the connector together with wire strands in the thread groves.
These are GREAT! Space saving design...shorter that others. Very easy to use, just takes minutes. When you plug these in the fit with just the right smugness, and they are color coded for + and - connections. There is enough of them in the box to setup a 7.1 system, or a 5.1 plus an extra zone with two speakers. They are also built very well...highly recommend!
