This timer makes a horrible rattling sound when in use, it's a pain to set the way you want, cant realistically plug into a power bar due to it's obnoxious size it ends up blocking 3/4 of it, and it's way overpriced. Save yourself some money, go to the dollar store and pick up one of those sunbeam timers, does the same thing and they only cost about 3$. it does work, but the same as the dollar store timers.
The timer is not easy to read. The numbers don't reflect the hours of a clock so it's hard to understand which side of the timer is daytime vs. Nighttime or which number correlates to which hour. There is also no setting to have both outlets work at the same time. Only one at a time. I had hoped this timer would allow for a better daytime-Nighttime routine for my lizard but now he either gets his light or heat not both.
I'm changing my review because I've only had this product for a short time now and it is no longer working the switch that you switch from timer to power on always broke now it doesn't work I am upset about this it didn't last that long and I only touched it 3 × 2 test it and to set it up and now it doesn't work buyer beware another badd product I bought one of these from a chain store a while back and it worked for years I don't know why this 1 all the sudden just brakes I don't understand it are we getting sold badd products are they rejects that the company doesn't own a cell at chain stores I don't know what's going on I'm getting a lot of badd stuff from Amazon and now I'm questioning it
Took it out of the box and there was a piece shaking around inside it. So something is already broken and I haven't even used it. Amazon sent me out another one, and the same exact thing. It shouldn't have a red plastic piece flying around inside it. Tried it out anyway. The instructions are not easy to figure out on how to set the timer. I only needed it for the daytime socket. Thought it was working ok until I awoke around 2am to find the lights had been switched on. And before you ask, yes my pins were switched correctly to turn on the lights at 8am and shut them off at 7:30pm. The sensor that turns the timer slightly pops pins back up and that's why the lights are coming back on again. Threw both out and waiting on a digital timer now. Can't have uvb and baking lamps turning on in the middle of the night for my bearded dragon. It'll mess up with his day and night schedule. Just don't buy this at all.
This was the most frustrating product to use! I had to watch some YouTube videos to figure it out and still it didn’t do the job! My family and I went on vacation for a few days and purchased this for our dragon’s and tested it to see if it worked before we left. Well apparently neither of them did and came home to their night lights still on. I was upset because it could have caused damaged to both dragon’s that are still babies. My husband ended up getting a better recommendation for the lighting in the tanks and found out the night light was actually harming them due to the color. Thank god our dragon's are ok and this expensive unit that didn’t work properly didn’t kill them. Not satisfied with this product at all and disappointed in ZooMed. Poor instructions and very confusing. Will never buy again!
