To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I was tempted to give fewer stars, but to be fair, the cover does say this is a beginner's book. But for example, they explain that the edible part of lettuce is its leaves... The bulk of the book just seems to be general gardening advice that's not particularly well laid out or organized.
Also, as I live in the NW, I bought it because I thought the month-by-month scheduler would be especially relevant. But it's very light on detail. I recommend Maritime NW Gardening booklet put out by Tilth if you're looking for a great monthly task list.
