I got these for my 3.5 dash speakers in my 14 ram. I thought they would be a little bit too high of a frequency filter but they are just right. I tried a set of 300hz bass blockers as well and they still had a little too much bass. These are perfect to clear up the muddiness between the door speakers and dash speakers. The highs sound much more crisp now and I can play my system louder!! Definitely recommended for anybody who has bigger dash speakers.
These change the sound completely in my 2015 gmc sierra. The factory GM Siriusxm sounds like completel trash in the trucks. These bass blockers eliminated the bass and changed the frequency making the factory Xm sound like it supposed to. I also upgraded all door speakers to Focal Audio. If you Google Sirius and xm radio sound difference you will see that Xm has their frequency set to a lower setting than Sirius. Yes, they merged companies but GM still uses "XM" tuners. Ford uses "Sirius" tuners and theirs sound very good from factory. Xm now sounds soo crisp! Extremely satisfied,!
I used this product on aftermarket 2 way door speakers that drape on my 2005 Cadillac Deville, I have a subwoofer and amp in the trunk.I switched my Pioneer car stereo to an Android car stereo that doesn't have intergrated LPF/HPF, so when I would turn the bass up the speakers sounded distorted, these bassblockers fixed the problem.
I used these in my 2015 toyota tundra 1794 with the factory Jbl system. They worked great on the rear speakers but they didn't work at ALL for the front. Reason being, the front door speakers are sub only I found out and these just basically shut them off with just a little static crackle noise.
That was not a problem with these though. They work exactly as they should as long as the signal going to your speaker is a full range signal.
This is perfect for Polk Audio 3.5" speakers. Speakers were producing lots of bass distortion with 200hz bass blockers came with the speakers. These 600 hz bass blockers solved the problem instantly. Speakers sound very clean now even at high volume. Highly recommended.
I run two sets of speakers on my vintage stereo. Problem was when I want lots of bass from my pair of Klipsch KG 4.2 speakers my smaller 5-1/2” in wall speakers cannot handle the intensity of the bass being delivered to them.
I added these bass blockers to the in wall speakers and now I have all the bass I want and the ambience I desire in a multi-speaker setup.
