I am thrilled for all her success with the biscuits and more, I was excited for a hipper/younger take on the good ole Charleston foods I love so much. I have tried some of the recipes and I have to say they kinda miss the boat. Lacking in flavor and kinda same old same old. I expected more, southern biscuits have been around for a really long time... so to have such success with a simple biscuit I had high hopes for her other recipes. I certainly feel the family love and tradition here, and I love that. But if you are looking for a change and a new twist, this may not be the right way to go. Stick with your own family recipe book.
This is great if you have zero food sensitivities. I'll give away the secret to the biscuits: cream cheese. I was already planning on trying these with vegan butter, but I don't know if it will have the same effect with vegan butter AND cream chese. Will just have to try it and see. Will update when I do.
