I enjoyed this story even though the basic plot has been used a hundred times. An upperclass male falls for a lower class female only to find she was upperclass too. Even using lowerclass females to provide offspring for barren upperclass couples is not a new concept and so not as shocking as it should be. Having said that i did enjoy the story, i like the authors style and the characters are loveable . Will probably read the rest of the series, maybe ill be surprised
It's an easy read with likeable characters. However if you enjoyed The Hunger Games you will probably like this, mainly because its almost exactly the same. For those that have not read the said other series, this is a nice read for the teens and Y.A. Action , romance, a heroine with attitude and handsome hero's.
Dystopian YA read it said, but at 42 I loved this series. I read all three book in a week. After finishing each book id instantly purchase the next. I loved the main character Abby and her simplistic yet hard working lifestyle. The twists in her love life. Her friendship with Kyan was so sweet. She fought to have basic freedom from a society that considered themselves 'greater' than her society. Highly recommend. Looking forward to reading more of author Casey L. Bond's books.
it has twists and turns you really just aren't expecting... sometimes with books you can think you know whats going to happen but with REAP you really don't have a clue even if you think you do.
ABBY BLUE? need i say more? really? ... she's a strong willed teenager who's grown up really quick. she knows what she wants and nothing will sway her mind once shes set it!
CREW is kind of a Love/Hate character but ultimately i think you just end up feeling really sorry for him.
KYAN.... he's like Gale from Hunger Games... you instantly feel sorry for him as he's never going to have the love of the girl that he wants, his best friend the girl he's grown up with. You just want her to see him and fall in love with him and everything to be okay but you just know from the beginning that that's never going to happen no matter how much you wish for it.
I can't wait to read Resist and see what happens next.
I've just finished Reap by Casey L Bond and loved it. This is for the young adult genre (I'm 33 but love this genre), some olders might not. There was plenty of personality in the protagonist. A great storyline. Well written. Fast. Punchy. I carried my kindle around with me till I finished it. Not onto book 2. Definitely recommend this one
