To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I needed a pair for my monitors, and these fit the bill. They’re good quality with solid terminals, so I’m not worried about durability, though if you’re running these next to a significant amount of power you may want to look for something with more shielding. They are ran with power cables for two computer monitors and there is no additional noise than from being ran alone. I did run them next to my PC’s power cable just to test and there was a slight hum, but only when it was pulling above 500W and the gain was turned up. Not an issue for 90% of applications. Overall, perfect for connecting a DAC to a couple of studio monitors.
I bought this 2 packs because of good reviews, however,I'm going to return. Looks quality and well built. I don't know if I got the defect or just the way it is. My only problem is the female side where there's a clip that won't get locked onto my item. I tried all my XLR cords and none of them has this problem. It's still usable (no noises or anything) but no lock which means it can loose anytime. I checked on the clip and seems weak.
Great cables, quality construction. The cables themselves are flexible and easy to work with. The male and female sleeves are metal and of good quality. I docked 1 star because the locking tab on the female plug is hard plastic (as is the release), rather than metal and won't mate correctly with the lock on my XMC-1 Pre/pro. Not a major issue, as the snug fit makes it unlikely to come loose anyways, even when moving equipment around. However, it does decrease the quality feel.
For imported cables, these aren't cheap, but neither is the quality. They feel a lot heavier and more sturdy than other import brands. I've also never had a cable from this brand fail or test poorly (not yet anyway).
