7 or 8 one so far that Ive had to send in to warranty exchange. Each one stops holding a charge. Luckily there is a Dewalt Factory Service 40 mins away from me. All our tools are dewalt. They arent the same quality anymore.
Super pack for DeWalt drills and drivers -- plenty of amps and capacity. But the price!! Come on, this is just unrealistic. These should be no more than $50 at most. A two-pack for $95 would be a good offer. But $75 (after taxes) EACH? I've bought running cars for less than that.
I love my Dewalt 20V Max tools, but these batteries seem to be the weak point. They work great when they work, but occasionally don’t want to charge, and not a single one of the 3 I own have a functioning battery life indicator that works. They work the first use, but as soon as you charge them a time or two, they stop working. Thankfully, I found an article online describing how to “jump” a wire to two of the connections to fix one that wouldn’t charge.
Dewalt products require caution. I find them to be excellent products in quality, ergonomics & workmanship. However, prices are high & there are hidden costs regarding the battery & charger. Plan your purchases. Remember, some of the batteries can be used across many products making the battery, charger & tool price more acceptable.
You must recharge these batteries at room temperature and seat the battery charger until it clicks’. Otherwise they don’t charge properly. Should be stated more clearly. Why the temperature issue? If you are working in cold weather it becomes very inconvenient.
The product itself is questionable but DeWalts customer service is reliable.
The battery died on me only after about a few usages and charges and the charger would only give a few blinks then nothing at all when charging. I called DeWalt and they replaced free of charge in a week.
