To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is a decent switch that offers 8 ports. The footprint is very small and very discrete, which is great for the port density. The switch support 802.1Q and has PoE (15.4W) on 4 of the 8 ports.
Now, for all the not so good stuff... The management console is horrible and not intuitive. You can try using the web-management console or the App, but it's also just not that great. Creating VLANs and managing them is just bad. While this is a managed switch, you cannot actually change the management IP or the VLAN that it resides on, so you will need to use VLAN 1 to manage the switch and set the gateway and the IP address as per default. I don't know what happens if you get two of these switches on the same LAN with the same IP addresses.
I wouldn't recommend this switch at all. Go find a better one that is actually manageable.
Worked fine for 11 months but the contacts on port 2 failed? That port only does 100 mbps now but disconnects with movement, hoping others aren’t ready to go. Every other network switch I’ve had still works, so I think this is the worst switch I’ve owned 🤷🏼♂️
