It all started pretty simply a family argument in a restaurant, DCI Dixon just wanted to eat dinner. What follows is a series of events that leads Dixon to learning more about horses and racing than he ever wanted to. A young man is killed and his death is ruled an accident. Only his brother Jon is convinced that some something more sinister is at work, his Father and Sister believe that it was a tragic accident. Can he convince Dixon that all is not what it seems and that he is not just trying to make someone responsible for his Brother's death? Dixon is fast becoming a favourite character of mine, highly recommend. This is the third book on the series which could be read by itself but the first two are just as great.
