Great quality as one would expect from Dewalt. I have a ton of 5amp hour batteries and I have used my light for hours on end and still have 3 bars on my battery. Light is bright enough, not blinding. I keep one in my garage and one in my house for power outages. Buying a couple more to squirrel away.
I ordered this light with a drill/impact set to replace an aging Craftsman set. A major improvement in technology and brightness. The battery seems to last forever and the adjustable head makes working easier. Would recommend.
This doesn’t come with a battery! But if you have your own set already its perfect! Ive been using the same battery for 1month without having to charge it its great honestly and soooo ridiculously bright!
I originally used this light at my work’s shop. Decided to order one for myself. Good light for all sorts of jobs. I use it all the time. Battery life just depends on what size battery you’re using, but I typically put one of my 1.3ah or 2ah ones on it and it pretty much lasts all day, with more juice to spare. Brightness is fairly decent, however, for the most part, I’ve used this for more “close up” jobs where I didn’t need to light up a whole room or a larger area, just the area close to me. So on that front I cannot express whether it would be good for larger projects where you would need bigger areas lit up. Night vision (?) I have no clue, but I’ve used it to see things in dark basements, under vehicles at night, and in unfinished rooms with no live electric. In All of these instances, this light has proven its worth. I’m extremely satisfied with it.
If you find yourself working in low light areas or need a crazy bright beam for any purpose, this is the light for you. I was doing a bit of plumbing under the kitchen and bathroom sinks and this was a perfect solution to put light on the subject. Easily stands on the flat battery and the head pivots (up and down) to direct the light. Using the light in its brightest mode will drain the battery about twice as fast as in the low beam mode but still lasts plenty long for most any project. Mine did not come with a belt clip but does have the loop for hanging on a belt hook.
