Great device. Hardly use my gps watch now. I found this handier to use as you can ping the distance to bunker or water hazard and play shor to that of know what dostance to carry to get over it. Very easy to use. Easily swaps to yards or meters. Used this a lot since purchasing it and very pleased. Good quality product and comes with handy belt pouch for it.
Really small, simple point and press. All measurements seem accurate and as you would expect fro Nikon, optics very good and clear. Plenty of focus adjustment and 8 second scan allows you to double check different targets to double check. Have no complaints and to date very happy with purchase. Tried cheaper Chinese ones and there really is no comparison. Compares very well with friends Bushnell.
Great rangefinder, compact, accurate, and robust. If you want to know exactly how far your ball is from the flag, and then subsequently how far your next shot is from the lake then this is perfect for you. If you play early in the morning have a few less beers the night before as can be tricky to use if you've got the shakes but highly recommended :)
Bought this on a whim as I wanted a brand I could trust, without breaking the bank. I have used this for 2 rounds of golf so far, and i'm really pleased with it. Super quick and accurate up to 200 yards. Not tried over any further distance, Tiger Woods I am not. Compared with other players who have more expensive Bushnells, this holds it's own so far. (+/- 1 yard difference tops). Smaller than a Bushnell too. Would highly recommend if you dont want to spend £300+ on a unit. Untried in fog, poor light etc however.
I was always dubious about these types of devices on the golf course as I was concerned that it would slow me down. I haven't found this to be an issue at all. I love this thing, it is very clear and once you get used to the fact that you need to try and keep your hand still to capture the flag it's great. I have friends that have more expensive models but I have found that this one does exactly what you want it to.
I've always relied on GPS watches, which only give front, middle or back distances this product has added a whole new dimension to my game! The Nikon fits nearly into the palm of the hand and is so simple to use, in terms of accuracy I've compared it's readings to with friends similar devices, always within a yard or two when not exactly the same. Such great value for money
Ok, you need a steady hand at 200m, but otherwise it works well. The reading has changed my shot decision for the better on several occasions. Accuracy is good and, for the price it is a great deal backed by a respected brand. Only gripe is that I'd prefer a magnetic clasp to close the pouch, rather than the fiddly press-stud.
