Story is interesting and makes you want to know more. Artwork is good, although I did think some hands looked more like claws at some points, I know hands can be difficult to draw. Overall I enjoyed the concept and so will be continuing with Lumberjanes and look forward to the next instalment.
BE AWARE if you choose the kindle format it is issue 1 not volume 1 that you will get which is a bit misleading if you look at the format drop down, however still cheap for the first issue to see if you like it
So I just read Nimona and Loved It!!!!! So I decided to see if the author had written anything else. Then I found out she had co-written Lumberjanes. So I'm totally fangirling out!!! It's mostly foreshadowing right now, but I like to think I know a good story when I see it. I will definitely keep reading. LOVE the little red fighting hood character by the way.
My teenage daughter loves to draw comics and she finds this series entertaining and artful drawn. She likes outdoors and adventures and a bit of snarkiness (ok, ok, a LOT), so these comics fit the bill. I believe the term is graphic novels, but I think both fit.
