Love this new addition to an earlier model I had of the same set my only criticism of the set is that volume level on the talking ID is very little and is difficult at times to make out what the voices saying and if you do not describe to voicemail and you wish to use the built-in answering machine I feel Panasonic should I located more time on the answering machine for incoming messages other than that this was good value for the money although I don’t know why they keep on insisting on having baby monitor or certain business features include it on a residential home phone and I wish that handsets the plug into the AC outlet had bases that were more flat so that they could sit easier on a sofa arm rest or some reasonable facsimile
Since first day I have a problem with one of 3 Battery chargers with AC adapter (Panasonic PNLC 1040) it does not work. To recharge the battery I have to take the receiver to one of the other two chargers. I should not be required to do so with a brand new unit. Please send me a replacement - Panasonic PNLC 1040 charger. Thank you
Only down side is the bright display on the base unit which cannot seem to be dimmed. Ended up putting it downstairs which means we can't use that unit, it was too bright at night in the bedroom. Other than that okay dokay.
Except for the non-functioning answering device, I would give this phone set a satisfactory rating, although my previous Panasonic set had better features. I have programmed and activated the features of the answering device, to no avail. I have selected the number of rings, recorded my greeting, and completed all the little details via the menu. However, each incoming call rings 15 times, does not play the greeting, and ends the call. I have found no way to phone Panasonic for help. Using the online chat option was also useless, as it’s choices did not match my questions. >>I did get the answering machine to work. (My stupid!) I still miss all the features on my old Panasonic system, but this is working OK now.
I love the champagne color, the phones all have good sound and work as they should. IF you are using one of the cordless handsets, there is one design flaw. If, for any reason, you press the handset too your ear too hard, you may inadvertently turn the phone off. I have done it a couple of times, either because I was having trouble hearing due to noise in the room or because I was temporarily trying to hold phone against my shoulder to use both hands for a moment. Still like these phones.
Love the call block feature but have a hunch it will fill up fast. It was just the joy of sending the spammers to call block land! 🤣🤣🤣 The volume is a little less than expected when using speaker option on the handsets. It is good on the base unit. We added another handset. Read the manual to pair it if you do this. It is all right there. You must be next to the base unit with both plugged in to power receptacle. Nice color change from black and silver. Notice: may be difficult for non techies to set up features or pair additional devices.
I purchased this as a gift for my elderly parents. Thought a corded phone would save them time looking for a handset to answer. The only complaint I saw was that the cord was not long enough I put phone beside their desk and the cord doesn’t reach far enough for them to sit comfortably in the chair while talking. I’m going to get a longer cord taking too long to stretch this one. They haven’t figured out all of the features but to be fair they haven’t glanced at the manual!
