To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I have been using recipes from the skinnytaste.com website for quite some time. I have my favourites but like to find new favourites too. There's nothing like sitting down with an old school recipe book. I have all 3 of Gina's skinnytaste books in hard copy and while I don't understand how weight watchers points work, I do understand calories! My hips (and every other body part as well) LOVE calories! Lots of fab recipes to choose from and FYI Gina's website has lots of suggested weekly menus that are helpful I just switch out the things that I don't fancy with things I do.
I love this book and use it most days. If I had a tiny criticism it would be the number of servings in some of the recipes is difficult to adjust to 2 people. But, that's probably just me. My husband was a dubious about 'another diet cookbook' but has been raving about everything I've made. There's a wide selection, so no chance of getting bored. And, I feel full after eating.
I bought this book after following Skinnytaste on Instagram and embarking on a low calorie diet. The recipes are easy, use regular ingredients you can find at a local supermarket and are enjoyable for those not dieting. Each main course comes with a side dish suggestion, which takes the guess work out of how to complete your meal. I love having the nutritional information on each page, as it helps you make informed choices. My favourite recipe so far has been the Butternut Squash Lasagna Rolls that I served at a dinner party and no one knew they were eating a low calorie dish! I highly recommend this book.
I have bought loads of low calorie/diet cookbooks in the past, however, this is the first one that I find really excites my taste buds. Salads aren't plain and boring, they actually have loads of flavour whilst keeping down the calories. I would recommend this book.
I am very impressed with this book, I have tried a number of dishes and not disappointed by any of them so far. I purchased a second one for my mother as she loved some of the recipes also. I thoroughly recommend it :)
