Easy to install, but if you're TV doesn't have build in WIFi and you want to connect it to the Internet via the ethernet cable, it connects and works perfectly... but in my case every time my TV powered off, I had to go downstairs and press the WPS button and run back upstairs to press the button on the extender or reset it... I used it for a few days and got fed up with it!!! It's currently back in it's box, at back off the wardrobe where it will probably stay because amazon returns are not as straight forward as taking it to the post office .. so I wasted my money buying this as well as the ethernet cable I bought to go with it. I bought an amazon fire stick and it work's perfectly in my TV and connects to the WiFi, also got more apps on their to watch TV then my smart TV did... perfect upgrade for an older smart TV
I bought this in order to connect my PVR to my network. Alas, I've had to return it as it simply isn't powerful enough to "see" my router which is only 9m from where i wanted it installed. To be fair, their tech support folk responded to my queries really quickly but, after several cycles of trying things without success, they agreed that this wasn't the right solution for me.
I thought this device might be what I was looking for. Basically I wanted an ethernet connection for each of my Sky Q mini boxes. But this device insists on creating it's own wifi network to extend my existing one. I don't want it to do that. I want it to connect via wifi to my network and then just make the ethernet port available. It doesn't seem to be able to do this.
It's easy to install. Just follow the instruction and it will work. However, if it's for video streaming, don't use it as it disconnects almost every hour. Email support and they cannot find anything. Most importantly, checking the router log, the extender is sending packets to a suspicious Chinese address 18.104.22.168 all the time. Risks of leaking information to a Chinese company.
Thanks for nothing BrosTrend, I purchased one of these wireless adapters as my previous adapter had packed in. When I received the adapter, I plugged it in, installed the driver using the disk supplied only to find that absolutely nothing had changed, it has been roughly 3-4 weeks since I purchased this and I have been trying non stop to try and fix this, I have rebooted my system, I've uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it several times, I've had technicians look into it and I've done a complete system restart and absolutely nothing works. Complete waste of money
I have 500mb hyperoptic internet and wanted to use these as an extension to use ethernet on my PC, I am getting around 80Mbps on my PC which is 1 room away from my router. I use speedtest on my phone in the exact same spot as the extender and get 350 minimum
Don't buy this for an ethernet connection. It doesn't work despite being advertised that it does. The WiFi option - It slows the speeds down to 2.5mbps despite being capable of emitting up to 1200 again - falsely advertised. Highly recommend you don't buy
