I LOVE this! Let me start off with explaining WHY I got it. I live in an apartment complex and my new downstairs neighbors don't give a damn about the no smoking in doors rule. They smoke their weed in the bathroom and turn the fan on to keep their house from stinking. It all comes up my fan vent into my home with my 5yr old. The smell makes me sick and will actually send me into a panic attack. I bought this for my bathroom to handle that smell. Let me tell you when they get to smoking it is STRONG like my bathroom smells as if 20people are standing in their smoking with no ventilation. As soon as I start to notice the smell I will turn this thing on low to medium and the smell is gone pretty damn fast. I have yet to need to turn it up beyond medium. This thing works way better than I expected and omg i am thrilled! I have not had a panic attack at all this week thanks to this thing. The week before I got it, while it was enrout to me, I had 3 from the smell in a matter of 5 days. It is legal to smoke it here, but per their lease they are NOT supposed to smoke ANYTHING in the apartment.
Instead of spending hundreds of $ each year of air fresheners that merely disguise odors with pleasant smells, you might be tempted to invest in this device once to actually remove odor-causing particulates from the air by zapping them with ozone O3 molecules, leaving the air odorless and smelling fresh like after a good rain storm.
Don't do it. We bought several and none lasted more than six weeks. The idea is good but the manufacturing quality is very bad.
An air purifier was recommended by Dr. Mercola (search online) for numerous reasons. However his model was way too noisy and irritating. This model is much quieter although not silent. - I do not know for sure if ozone indoors is a good thing. At high concentrations it has an unpleasant smell. I keep ours going all the time at low to medium setting. My wife said she noticed the air being cleaner and we sleep easier. I think I do too. -Our place has 1500 sq feet of space and I only purchased one to be used in the center of the house. Air circulation seems to take care of the rest. -I'm not sure I need a second unit. When i turned it up to high setting the odd smell was too much. -So far no complaints after a few weeks. Ideally I would get an HVAC filtered air cleaner with ions. But the cost of filters and our experience with one breaking after a year inspired me to try something else.
Have had it about 2 weeks.I had been searching for something that would help clean the air in my house. Something that was affordable and that I could use while I was home. I have a cat and many of the other products I researched said you would have to leave while it was running. That didn't work for me. I have allergies and a mold problem in my home. Since I got this product I have noticed a difference in the air quality in my home. I smell less of the mold/ mildew and it doesn't bother me, my husband or my cat. We actually ordered 2 of them. It seems to do what it said it would. I have actually recommended it to a friend. Would purchase again.
after some research I would definetly follow the instructions and do not run this while you or your family are in the room and only for short periods of time, This works great on a timer or to "nuke" a room that has a persistent smell but everything I have read sais breathing in ozone is not good for your health but that it dissipates fairly rapidly. It has definetly removed the musty odor in the man cave, I run it on a timer and make sure no one is in the room.
I manage a 45 story high rise condominium in Waikiki, and for years we had scented air mist deodorizers that just made our trash rooms on each floor smell like vanilla scented garbage. These Ozone generators kill the stank better than anything I have found. This new model is adjustable so you can choose the level of ozone it creates which is a good thing because these little units put out a lot more ozone than the previous models and I actually run them at half their output.
We bought this unit to try in the "kitty room" and are so happy we did! All we did was plug the unit in and within an hour we could tell a big difference! Our kitty is an older fella, 15 years old, and when he potties you need to clear the house, lol. But since we got this Ozone Air Purifier, you can't tell when or if he goes potty!
We love this Air Purifier so much that we're going to purchase at least 2-3 more to really keep the house smelling clean and fresh. Also, to clean the unit is very easy. I also want to make clear that this is a Plug In Unit, directly into the electrical wall socket. If you plug it into the lower socket you can still use the upper one. Also, this covers a 300 square foot area.
We are very happy with our purchase. So, if you're on the fence, try this one and I think you will be very happy.
does the trick! I have a room size ionizer that I will run occasionally. As a contract sewer working out of my house, there is residual smoke smell that apparently works its way into the fabric... SO is a smoker... it is his house... but he's great with smoking in the garage.. however there is prior years' worth of smoking in the house that lingers in the woodwork. I don't smell it.. but my client does.. so tried a room ozone machine which worked to a point... then went one step further with this little unit. When I have completed an order and have it boxed up, I will toss this ozone generator in the box, cover the top, turn the generator on for about 20 minutes and wow... everything smells spring fresh! Highly recommend
I had to return this product because it does not come with a timer. An ozone generator should ideally have a timer setting, so that the ozone production shuts off at a certain time, which gives you a few hours of letting the ozone dissipate (it has a 30 min half life, which after 30 minutes half of it is destroyed). You should then re-enter the room a few hours after the productino of ozone has stopped. This small machine does not have a timer, which means you have to ENTER an ozone room! to turn it off! Dangerous, it looks like an air freshener, but ozone is not an air freshener. I am going to search for a better item than has more than just an on/off button. I think this has high reviews because it looks cute and it small, but if you want to use ozone then you need to get a proper machine with a timer.
I live in an older house, the kind that has a lot of smells accumulated from previous inhabitants. I plugged this into the outlet of our master bedroom/bath and left it on for an hour with the door closed. Then turned it off and let the ozone do its work for a couple more hours. Now our bedroom and bath smell fresh and clean--all those musty old smells are gone. I'm moving this from room to room, doing one each day. Love it!
