Nicely made cable. Connectors seem solid. Good length. Not too thick and still pliable. My main gripe is that I expected a pair not one cable. Why would you want one 'stereo' speaker cable. (centre channel cable maybe but usually shorter).
These cables look really impressive but the biggest issue is the cheap banana plugs that are used. These are the cheap ones that have the center of the plug that goes into the amp and still spins easily. I have found with this plug when it is just inserted in the back of the amp it is loose and spins easily and provides a poor connection. (enough to notice on a cheap multi-tester) So you have a decently looking cable but its very first connection from your amp is bad. To me this one issue makes this cable useless. I would strongly recommend the blue jeans cables with the locking banana plugs over these.
I will keep these cables I just plan to change the banana plug off of them.
I like braided cables. The cable looks good. The spade connectors worked on the binding posts of my new Wharfedale Diamond 220c Centre channel speaker. Sounds good. SVS cables are decent value for the money.
Great product, lots of bang for the buck. My only complaint is that they don’t offer different colours for the cable. I would have preferred black or grey for the jacket but whatever. The build quality seems good and I guess that’s what matters.
as stated in the headline, these cables rival more boutique brands with their excellent build quality and construction. remember, before the advent of Amazon, quality cables like these were primarily relegated to stuffy 'hi-fi' shops. it wasn't that long ago when cables of this caliber would've cost 3x-4x as much!
i purchased the banana/spade combo to connect my Emotiva A-100 (dedicated two channel amp) to a pair of Elac debut B4's monitors. i couldn't be happier with the results!
I bought this cable 1 year ago to replace bare wire for aesthetic reasons. As someone who has had this cable in my system for over a year, I will tell you it makes zero difference compared to an amazon 12 awg wire as expected. Looks nice though. Using it in an elac f6.2 and l7 48 power amp system
Cables work great. They are well made and fit precisely on my Onkyo AVR output jacks to Zu Omni Def speakers. Am I hearing nuances in my music I haven’t heard before? Don’t know for sure just yet. Definitely the amp works more efficiently with the larger gauge wire. Pleased so far!
These must go down as one of my best Amazon buys ever. They look and sound superb. At first I was suspicious because I know how much high quality hifi speaker cables can cost and these seemed at the lower to mid range in price, but they are really good and they make my Bowers and Wilkins speakers sound just as they should.
So I have had a pair of Audioquest Castlerock cables for two years. Hate to say I spent $1,600 on these. Figured I would give the SVS Ultra cables a try. Heck, they are carried by many Hifi stores and have good reviews. Plugged these in and found that I was getting much better detail in the music at lower volumes. Give them a try.
