On Amazon, searched for "MP3 Bluetooth". Then refined search with "Sony". Eventually ended up on page for this model. With ad immediately below it for "Taotronics Bluetooth Shower Speakers", a clear impression that the MP3 player itself had Bluetooth. Product was a birthday present, so package remained unopened for several weeks, and then another couple of weeks searching for the non-existent Bluetooth.
Picture quality poor, not able to properly shuffle the songs. Battery charge life of this unit very low. Very disappointed with this Walkman. My last unit was excellent, but the battery could not be removed and replaced. I will not purchase another Sony product as I believe they are just living off their name and not concerned about their once leading product quality and customer satisfaction.
I definitely would NOT recommend this product. I have the older model which I love. This one is cheap plastic and it would Not download a playlist. I thought I had 90 days to return it but apparently I don't so now I'm out the money too. Real bummer! I wish I had listened to some of the reviews on this product so don't make that mistake. Stay away from this product.
I simply wanted to replace my old NWZ-E384 due to many years of great service it has started to reboot itself. Given the rough times, I have put it through I decided just to buy the newest version of the same product.
First, the product is made of cheap plastic, unlike my old one that had a nice metal casing. But most importantly the software is different and does not allow you to play Microsoft playlists or even play by genre. That leaves you with two options if you don't want to play your music one artist at a time. You can download Sonys software, recreate your song lists and download them OR you can play all shuffle.
Gone are the days of turning on your MP3 player, hitting genre, choosing play all and listening to your music. The maddening part is that this was not an issue with the old version. Sony has actually made it harder to use their product.
This product will not import playlists from Windows. After hours of searching the internet and going through multiple write-ups and Youtube videos, no dice. There also does not appear to be the capability of creating playlists on the device itself. So bottom line is unless you want to download the BS software from Sony and bung up your computer, you will have to be satisfied with an unstructured mess of music on your player. The irony is I bought this to replace a ten-year old Sansa Fuze, and it has more playlist capability than this thing does.
