Useful tips for all types of relationship issues and gives the reader great perspective on why we get angry and what to do about it. Many statements resonate strongly with many of us. I recommend this book to anyone looking at expressing their anger in a useful and purposeful way that changes old patterns and gets us unstuck.
I really enjoyed reading this book and found it genuinely helpful. I believe this book would be good for anyone wanting to improve their relationships with other people in general. I think it would be equally helpful to men wanting to improve their relationships as well. Very easy to read and kept my interest.
This book was confronting but so insightful, provoking and brilliant. Highly recommend to any person wishing to learn more about themselves and how to improve and grow in themselves and in their relationships with others.
I found this book by chance having never heard of it or the author. And what a fantastic book it is. A complete revelation. Not dated at all either. Even for a young, modern feminist, the insight and advice is extremely valuable. Best anger book I've read.
This book is blowing my mind! In a good way! Generally with books like this there are lots of ‘case studies’ and I often roll my eyes as they can be quite American centric or over exaggerate responses which make it hard to identify with. Not this one! Yes there are case studies but the author is adept at pulling out the generalities and it’s really easy to apply to relationships in one’s own life. It’s well written and easy to access. Shall be sharing with my mother and sister once I’m finished!
This book was originally published over 20 years ago - how has it taken me until now to discover it? It is SO VERY GOOD!!! It’s about way more than just anger - it’s about how we relate to our family members, friends and work colleagues. It’s so easy to read and understand. I’ve read quite a few of this genre but this is one of the best!
Excellent advice in the complex world of relationships with mum, dad, daughter, boyfriend, partners, husbands, wives, in laws, work colleagues- an excellent read. Useful in my profession dealing with complex staffing issues. Woman cry - okay. So move on. Excellent tips on expressing without anger. Could save some relationships and help family dynamics. I wish I have read it some years ago before my husband abandoned me and his family turned on me. Great tips.
