I played approximately 60 rounds with this device, over the past 16is months. I also took great care of it, keeping it in its case between use. However it recently stopped working and a new battery didn’t help, nor did any troubleshooting techniques. I contacted Bushnell for options on warranty or repair and they have not responded. Very disappointing.
I have been extremely disappointed in the accuracy of this device. I have consistent results where distances measured with the jolt feel is off by 10-15 yards. Sometimes I get the jolt nd it’s off 30-35 yards. I’m to the point where I have to check it 3-4 times and then look ask others with similar devices to confirm distances. Sometimes I’ll go back to using sprinkler markers and walking it off to confirm the yardage. I’m so unsure of its measurements now that I’m always double checking yardages. That’s a waste. This happens regardless of the background. Even when there is a generally clear background I can get wide variances in yardage measurements. When there are trees in the background I have to measure multiple times from different angles to feel comfortable the jolt is accurate. Again, when you get two jolts 10-15 yards different it creates doubt. I would not recommend this device be purchased.
After about 6 months of use, the jolt feature started working only intermittently. After several more months, the rangefinder would only give me readings 50% of the time. I sent the device in for warranty service (2 year warranty) and they sent me the device back with the following message:
1. Fully operational. 2. Replacement parts obsolete. 3. Discontinued model.
If the device was fully operational (which it's not), why on earth would they feel the need to tell me that, "oh, and by the way, we don't have any replacement parts because your device is obsolete." If it's fully operational, that's all it should say. The cherry on top was that they included an invoice in the package for $10.00 for their shipping cost back to me. Never buying Bushnell again. Plenty of other options out there. Bushnell is resting on its laurels and it's neglecting its golf line.
Defective right out of the box. Will not measure over 100 yrs. Bought it for a tournament. Rushed shipment. Needed it for tournament. I have had Bushnell in the past and been well pleased. This one is junk. (my experience)
Item was sent as open box item. Did not include all parts and already had battery installed. Called Bushnell and they stated the item is known as REFURBISHED and would not be included with 2 year warranty.
Instructions say to remove battery cover and remove a plastic insert. They also say insert the battery + end first. Neither of these is correct. If you put the battery in the way instructed, it will not work. So there is a plastic insert on the battery cover, if you take it off to check if that corrects the problem, you break it. It is not the insert mentioned earlier. The battery must go in - first and the plastic insert has to be in place. If you broke it, it sits there loose.
