Not too bad as far as deodorant soaps go, except I suspect I have been sent some old stock because it falls apart way too easily when it gets wet and it has very little fragrance. Pity, because I quite like it. Anyway, I think you're far better off with Irish Spring!
What I dislike is the shape of the bar! When you get down to the end of the bar it always breaks in half leaving you with two small almost unusable pieces! Obviously designed that way to get you to throw out what is left and start a new bar!!
I got the "White" pack of eight bars. I bought it because it is antibacterial and we're right in the middle of a horrible pandemic (COVID-19 in case anyone is reading this years into the future.) I am not generally a fan of bar soap because it gets gooey and is messy compared to liquid soap but I wanted the antibacterial qualities.
The bars are small but they lather up really well. The scent is just soap. The white soap is not really scented. It smells strongly of clean soap which is just fine with me. It cleanses my hands and body well and rinses off well. It does leave behind a soapy scent which I actually like. It doesn't get as gooey as many bar soaps I have used but it does melt down pretty quickly. That could be because I am using it so often. I am washing my hands with it and hand washing is now something I do more than anything else.
I am happy with the soap. I probably won't use it all the time after this horrible situation is resolved but I do like the fact that I can lower the amount of bacteria on on my skin so I will have it here to use along with my fancy, smelly body washes and hand soaps. It's still good stuff. We used this when I was a kid!
I ordered this soap because (since the "shutdown"), I have been fighting a bacterial skin infection that I can't seem to conquer even with a course of antibiotics. The soap has a really pleasant scent, suds up well and makes me feel clean. I don't really notice that it is more moisturizing than my previous soap, and I seem to use up the bar a little faster than other bar soap of the same size. I ordered a 4-bar pack and still have 2 bars to go. I would order again.
I have always liked Dove soap's scent. I don't like that it leaves you a little sticky feeling after you've used it, but I'm willing to put up with that to reduce my plastic use. I wish the bars lasted longer, but again, I still really like the soap. It leaves you very clean. I have very sensitive skin, and it doesn't leave me in fits of scratching or with rashes.
It does leave a residue behind on your bathtub or shower, but that is true of almost all bar soaps. That residue is what makes you feel "sticky". This soap would get five stars if it wasn't for the residue and the fact that the bars disappear so quickly.
But for the price and the fact that I'm reducing the amount of plastic I'm throwing out, I'll put up with it.
At least you can find this still available in the stores. The bar soap selection these days is skimpy. Dial for men bar soap was the best, but now tgat they don't make that we have to resort to the bar soap made for most everyone but not specifically for men. Anti bacterial quality in this soap is good. Let's be gonest though , this is based on "Safeguard" soap which invented the Gold antibacterial bar soap long before dial had one. I still but it though. Any port in a storm ad they say and lately it's been a real Storm out there, so to speak,
I used to use body wash instead of a physical bar of soap. But I tried this to see if I'd see a difference in body odor. I am incredibly impressed with this bar of soap as a bar of soap itself, but I haven't noticed any improvement with body odor.
The bar of soap never gets hard or flaky like other bars of soap. It always seems to stay fresh which causes it to create a nice lather. It's particularly satisfying to use with hard water, in my experience.
So while the soap didn't make a noticeable difference in body odor for me, it is super satisfying to use and has become my go-to option in the shower.
The device is simple, easy for kids to use. We ended up getting Google Play on it so we could download more options for free....opened a can of worms with kids thinking they can download all sorts of games so we ended up taking them away for the reason. We now use only for school with spelling, reading and those types of apps. SPEAKING ON THE WARRANTY. We purchased late in 2017 and one ended up with a broken screen. Return was easy, spoke with someone who sounded American. I specifically asked if it would be a refurbished item....she told me "No, it would be a new tablet." The packaging itself said"REFURBISHED." Annoyed that she wasn't truthful or that she didn't really know but tried to give me info anyway. So as long as you're aware they don't send out new tablets....the return is easy. They did send an 8th generation tablet when we returned a 7th generation, so that's probably a bonus for us. Worth it when purchased on sale for sure.
Each bar of good, skin-friendly soap is individually wrapped, and the price is ridiculously low. So I buy these packs to stock the "micro-pantries" that have sprung up around town since this past spring. Countless people in my community have been struggling hard due to lost or greatly-reduced income. I'm not doing so great myself frankly, but this much I can do.... I figure every little bit helps.
