Not too bad as far as deodorant soaps go, except I suspect I have been sent some old stock because it falls apart way too easily when it gets wet and it has very little fragrance. Pity, because I quite like it. Anyway, I think you're far better off with Irish Spring!
I first began using this prior to a surgery, but then I started using it regularly. It does reduce the number of skin infections on any given body part, which is a huge advantage. The scent is not overpowering, and it is a "hard" milled soap, so it lasts longer than other bar soap that is filled with air.
As always, exactly what the doctor ordered! Since having infections for a year straight in 2009, my infectious disease doctor said to use Dial Gold and it will take care of 95% of the problem. It definitely has, too! No hospital stays, office visits weekly and more. I am convinced that it is the best and I don't want to take any chances! Besides it has a great clean and fresh scent.
Gonna be a little TMI here, but this is the product I was looking for for this reason. I was having some severe itching in skin folds around my stomach/groin area. This soap helped clear up whatever was going on. I have not had the itching or rash ever since I started using this exclusively in those areas of my body. The soap doesn't dry out your skin, in fact it seems to moisturize it a bit because after using the soap if I try to grab anything in the shower after rinsing off my hand it usually slips right out of my grip. Highly recommend. The only thing I'm not keen on is the smell. It's not horrible, but it's not something I prefer. Is tolerable though and gives a "clean" scent. I just have a personal preference for something a little more floral.
When I ordered this product the pricing said $31.68 ($0.13/oz) which means there should have been 12 packages of 6. What I received was one package of 6 which comes out to $1.65/oz that is a huge difference! I would have never bought this if it showed the actual pricing...$30 for 6 bars of soap is a rip off!
My Mom would only buy this when I was a kid due to our dairy & vet tech type of work we did. I always have a bar of this in the house. Due to COVID type hording no one had this in stock locally for 3 months and we are using a lot more soap(among other things) at home then usual due to being home so muc.h. I got this form the internet due to empty store shelves, i was concerned what i would get based on the other reviews. I got the 8 pack. The bars are individually wrapped in the usual wax paper and the whole thing was then bundled in cellophane sporting the normal dial branding. It arrived quickly & on time as far as I expected. So far we have used 2 bars and they are the standard quality I would expect from the grocery store or Walmart.
