I was looking forward to this cookbook but when it arrived and it just had the one chapter image were were immensely disappointed. We prefer a cookbook with the visual element. The visual element tell us something about what the dish is expected to look like and it makes you want to cook it. Having to read receipt and try to visualise the end product is not really the best.
So to be honest I am not sure if we will use this cookbook. Right now we are left pretty disappointed. We would not have picked this in a bookstore.
Easy to follow recipes and the recipes are really nice. Some recipes require obscure ingredients but as a first gluten free cookbook I have purchased, I could not really ask for much more. A must for all those gluten free and reasonably priced.
The good things about the book are that there are great recipes, tips on gluten free flour blend, the recipes are quick and there are lots of options so you’ll be baking/cooking for days! The downfall of the book is there are very few pictures so you don’t know how the product is supposed to look when complete. Also, without pictures you aren’t specifically drawn to a recipe because it looks good. It makes me less likely to use this book compared to other gluten free cookbooks that I can see pictures of the food I would like to make. There is so much room on each page where they could have put a picture but it’s just empty space. I would suggest browsing other books before buying this one!
