To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Works as it should but it doesn't feel like a quality product... i'd be surprised if it lasts more than a few weeks in regular use. I wasn't happy with the item so used a standard cable and just stored this one as it was so cheap it seemed hardly worth the effort to return
I purchased this for the convenience of the power switch. I was a bit concerned that it might have too much internal resistance for use with the Raspberry Pi3, which has significantly higher power requirements than earlier models (up to 2.5A). It does work with my Pi3 when it's not loaded down much, but when I do something that demands a lot of power, I get the low voltage indicator on the Raspbian OS screen. Using the same setup with shorter (1M), non-switched micro USB cable there are no low voltage warnings. Also, I had difficulty powering a portable USB hard drive from the RasPi3's USB port when it was being powered by this cable. With my 1 meter, non-switched cable the drive works fine.
So my conclusion is that this should be great with a Raspberry Pi computer that needs less power, the Pi-A/B/B+ or Pi-Zero should be fine. Probably even the Pi2. It doesn't deliver enough power for a Pi3 when pushed hard, so I'll be going back to my non-switched cable. Too bad, it really is nice to have the power switch.
If you're missing the entire thumb pad, even from around the underneath of it, these won't work without either glue creativity modification or using something to bulk up the plastic part on the controller. Also, even on the one that wasn't stripped of the covering, these tend to slide and eventually slide right off. Which tends to happen at very inconvenient times. They're cost effective, tho, so there's that.
They are a pain to get in as they keep trying to slip off until suction is finally made. They’re ok. For what you pay they may be of help. I use Kontrolfreaks normally and those at full height work great but the largest size on these that are the same height as Kontrolfreaks actually create a slower response time. Use the mediums or smalls and found they are better. Overall meh but what you pay for them they’re ok I suppose.
These were purchased to replace my worn down control Freaks. They were just ok. They were a little tricky getting on, but they pop off easily especially if using pressure during tense part of gaming. Not super sturdy. I wouldn't purchase these again but they weren't terrible. A good value for price.
I wanted some new grips, mine are worn down on the controller so I got these to try. They improve grip on the thumbstick but like to slip off when you move it too much one way or the other, which is a pain. If you glue them on I am sure they would do fine. Also, not taking any stars away for this but the tall ones just dont make sense to me, seems really uncomfortable and clunky to use.
