To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought two of these to fix the problem of annoying status lights on QI (inductive) contactless chargers. I have several of these placed around my house, and these cables allow me to turn off the chargers when I'm not using them. It would be better to turn off the wall plugs, but they are in inconvenient places. These cables are an inexpensive alternative to high tech mains remote switches!
Great device allows you to quickly turn off/on/restart your PI (or any other micro USB powered device). Was sick of having to unplug my USB cable from the PI when changing the circuitry I had wired up to it for GPIO programming. Having this simple switch helped no end (its just a switch to turn power on or off, so no need to unplug any more). Sounds lazy, but my micro USB connection was very tight, and took some effort to remove, which was only creating excessive wear on the port.
Decent length cable with the switch nearest to the Raspberry Pi which is exactly what I wanted. You will still need to shut down the OS before using the switch to cut the power, as there's a risk of corruption if you don't.
Simply replace an existing USB lead that is only carrying power and you can switch the power on and off. In my case it was a Raspberry Pi. This "merely" removes the need to unplug and plug in a power only lead. Not a really big deal, just a useful convenience.
