The folders themselves are good, however I have ordered this product twice and both times it came with fewer clear tabs than folders - which is incredibly annoying to say the least.

The “burgundy” folders I ordered are not burgundy! They are so different from the product photo that I had to check to make sure I didn’t order the wrong color. They are more of a mulberry color, a muted purple. I will keep these since as file folders they get the job done and it’s not worth the hassle to return them...but am still going to order the red folders as well, since those are the colors I needed for my organizational system.

Not overwhelmed with delight

It's okay. I'm not going to return them as I have taken a long time to figure out how many I needed to re-do my entire filing system. I was going for a uniform and clean look. My cabinets are dark java (almost black) & most of my office furniture & accessories are black. I wanted an organized look.
PRO: They arrived quickly
They included clear plastic tabs so you can label them (see also CON).

CON: They are not really "black" as stated. They are more of a faded black (like when something that was a true black that's been faded out in the sun).
They are flimsy. They are not reinforced so they can rip if not careful (i.e. when you insert the plastic tabs to label them or if you have a heavy file folder that you put into it).
The clear plastic tabs that came with them were completely the wrong size and you end up ripping the hanging file when you try to insert them into the holes. Solution: You have to trim the plastic tabs (just right, takes a few tries) to get them to fit. Very annoying and tedious process when all I want to do is re-org my files, not create a craft project. I bought 4 boxes of these and all the plastic tabs were like this. I ended up buying Pendaflex clear plastic tabs separately and those worked fine. Not impressed since they came from the same "company".
Finally, a few (6 to be exact) were "damaged". The white rod that you hang them with was twisted & unusable or the top fold of the file was "factory sliced" (looks like a production run error) & when you hang them and try to put anything in the file, it rips it completely. So had to throw those 6 away.

They are better than my nasty green ones I replaced them with, so I'm not going to hassle with a return, but I'm not a fan.

Edited to fix a couple of grammar errors. :)

By Joshua Garfinkle: Color coding hanging files should not be a new concept. Unfortunately the number of hanging file folder producers who produce a range of colors is small. This causes the market to have limited options, and exorbitant prices for folders that are not green, blue, or gray. This product is a bit lighter weight than I would have hoped for, and it arrived with a bag of clear tabs that were all malformed, and did not work, so after paying top dollar for the color orange I then had to go buy additional clear tabs. Better quality controls at the plant could have addressed this. Also the packaging allowed for two folder to be torn upon arrival by the metal hanging devices. Not a great experience.

Not really black

I was sad to see these weren't a true black color when they arrived. Maybe I should have expected that from seeing "recycled" in the title, but I didn't. It's more of a faded black; like a black t-shirt that you've washed and worn for years. They work like they should, I just purchased these to put in a rose gold file folder for the contrast and it's just not what I expected it to be. I'd try a different brand before purchasing these again.
