Bought this as a cookbook for my 10 year old who is just getting in to cooking. The product description does not make it clear this is an American cookbook so uses US units of measurements. This is fine for a more advanced cook who is happy to do conversions, but for someone starting out it adds a layer of complexity they don't need. Will be returning.
I am very disappointed. I bought 3 of these books for 3 12-year-old girls. The recipes are for adults - heck they are too complicated for me to do let alone 12 year olds. Why is it called Junior??? Herb crusted Lamb? Pappardelle with vodka? (what the hell is that). Beef cheek Agnolotti? (duh, what? The kids have to go buy beef cheeks?) Young cooks can't use this book without adults doing most of the work for them. And there are hardly any photos of the finished product - which is very important for a young cook. ....well, there are several photos of kids standing in a kitchen or by a sink smiling, but we don't know who they are and we don't care. very disappointed.
