I love this cookbook. Living in the UK some of the ingredients need 'translating' but once you've learned the US names for some of the ingredients the recipes seem less intimidating. I have made loads of the recipes and they have all been delicious. I also rate her blog 'Cookie and Kate' if you want an idea of the kinds of food she makes.
Cookie and Kate has been one of my fav blogs for several years now. Her recipes ALWAYS turn out great, which is something to say. This cookbook is well done; lovely pictures complement straightforward recipes that are clear and appetising. They complement the blog, which is also great. I am not a cooking newbie and have been a vegetarian for years and still appreciated some of her tips and tricks! I love how she includes ways to change it up, as she says and make things easier for people with food allergies or concerns, too. I think this book is worth the money, and I don’t have that many cookbooks.
I was looking for some vegetarian recipes for 'meatless Mondays' when I stumbled across Cookie & Kate's blog. When I saw the book I knew I needed it in my life and my oh my it didn't disappoint! Needless to say I'm now cooking at least 4 recipes from this a week. (Even my husband, who was reluctant to ever eat a meal without meat, LOVES these recipes). Please, please, please bring out a second book!
