To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Good for beginners Mic sensitivity could have been better Recommend alkaline bty for use as normal bty lasts for a few hours only. Operational range is decent. Plastic body of mic requires careful handling and the mic switch operation is not smooth. Product overall is a bit overpriced as it does not have integral bluetooth.
I ordered these because I wanted a set of wireless mics. I thought they would be fun for karaoke, and add to my collection.
I read a lot of reviews claiming they sound amazing.
They sound like karaoke mics. The quality isn't bad, but it is muddy and tinny in my opinion.
Anyone telling you they sound as good as their Shure mics is either setting them up with equipment I don't have, or they actually can't tell the difference... I'm not sure. But my Shurw mics sound much more clear and natural than these. If you want a great vocal mic for performance, this is not it.
If you want something you could use in a pinch or if your just using it to enhance your speaking voice at an event, they're great.
The setup was super easy. They came with batteries. I did play with the volume a lot at first. You'll want to play with whether adjusting the sound on your speakers or the receiver gives you a better result. I use a blend of both.
I have a simple 3 channel EQ. It helps a little.
I wasn't as impressed as many reviewers, but I do think for the price, the quality is good. I wasn't expecting Shure mic quality, but I have read reviewers saying these were comparable. They aren't.
But they do what they say. I like them. Super fun for karaoke and great for small conference events.
I bought this microphone set for my children as a Christmas gift, but I decided to test it in advance. I am doubtful the system will last long. It works but the materials used are very cheap. (I am an engineer, I know about electronics). The jack ports input/output feel very loose. The 35 mm jacks move around and initially this was the cause of background noise. I put in a better cable and had improved the connection but still moves. I tried the 1/4 jack. Just a bit better. The system is easy to set up. The sound seems amplify mostly low frequencies. Too bad for the quality of materials - especially connectors. If they wound have spent 50 cents more on better components, I would recommend it with confidence. For now, I give 3 stars with lots of optimism.
These mics have really nice sound quality for voice projection, but the echo meter is miscalibrated. Even when you turn the echo meter completely to OFF, it still echos. We ordered one set, it echoed, talked to an amazon rep who said that was an issue on some of these. So we returned that set, got a new set, and the new set echoed too. Either we got really unlucky or these mics have nice sound quality, but miscalibrated echo meters. If you just want a party karaoke quality mic, then these aren't bad, but if you want nice mics for singing, then search for something that has a properly calibrated echo meter.
Update: Customer service was very responsive and immediately offered a refund or replacement. If this is the sort of mixer you’re looking for, I would recommend giving it a try, because if you do run into issues, I’m confident they’ll quickly make it right.
Original review: Worked fine at first, but after just 2 weeks, it’s dead. The mics don’t connect and it won’t even pass through any sound from the tv to the soundbar. Pretty disappointing that something without any moving parts would fail this quickly. Have emailed customer service. Will update with any relevant new info.
Decent set for the money, however not having the ability to change the channels means if you setup somewhere that has interference, you can't do anything about it, and will get low range and a dropped signal cutout. If these had multiple channels, and a metal housing they'd be 5 star. I've used them in multiple homes and so you have to be sure there is no interference from electrical appliances, plugs, etc...
The system worked from day one and has lasted for about 1 year. It offers some nice features such as music mix (with certain hookups), supports another external wired mic, etc. So very versatile and reliable system so far. The reason for the 3 rating is that the WL mics are not clear and crisp (as in weak high end). It is definitely the WL mics since when you plug in a higher quality wired mic into the base you can tell the difference. So they are not the best for Karaoke or other singing. For general PA use they are fine. For the price, the plastic mics bodies are fine.
This was easy to hook up. The sound quality is good. You can hook your television into the mixer and speakers out the mixer and it is an easy karaoke setup. The one problem I am having which makes this problematic for a home karaoke setup is that there is a noticeable delay between the time you sing into the mic and the time that the sound comes out of the speakers.
I really want to like this product because of the price point. However, there is a significant lag in the mic sound. You may not notice it when singing but when rapping it is so obvious that voice sound is behind music sound. If you don’t mind that, this is a very convenient kit. It’s fairly easy to set up.
