It doesn't just sink into the paper (contrary to what others say, you can use any toilet paper so use the most environmentally friendly) but glides over the skin making cleaning much easier on subsequent wipes. However, my beef is with their use of ethylparaben as a preservative - it accumulates in the environment in sewage sludge and is an endocrine disrupter - not good for the environment and why does my bum need something preserved anyway!!! In future use Angel which has no parabens and uses a recycled/recyclable container (but buy directly, not through Amazon - very expensive).
This product is easy and pleasant to use. I'm glad I took a chance and gave it a try. I care about the planet so I like that it replaces the need for wipes. I have sensitive skin but find I can use it without worry. It does what it says well and the container is discrete and so easy to pop in your handbag if you go out.
I am updating this review because I have now tried the product more than once. In short , I still like the product however the pump doesn't work at all on the new bottle. I know from experience that sometimes a good shake can resolve a problem but no amount of vigorous shaking has made the gel come out. I emailed the company direct for help and suggestions and received no reply . I have read here that others have had problems like this so I will not be buying again because of the pump problems.
Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to using this gel don't know why but I've not got sensitive skin so not sure it works as discribed but as I said an allergic rash that needed cream from the doctor to heal that's all I can say.
#1 Dispenser push button difficult to activate. #2 Once button activated, the gel is too thick to dispense so I have to remove top and squeeze the gel on to the paper. #3 Gel is effective, just extremely difficult to access via dispenser provided.
I was hoping this would make me get rid of the baby wipes that we use in the bathroom; but, I found it not as convenient and not as effective as premoistened wipes. Quite disappointed, as I try to do the things I can for the environment. A def no go, for me. :(
