I use these and a straight pair (from Home Depot) to prune my plants and especially, wet trim my Flower... and I always find myself going to these over the others.
The curved tip makes it super easy to get in there and snipped tiny bits, like sugar leaves. They are very precise. I couldnt imagine trimming/ pruning without these. They are sharp and hold up to quite a bit of abuse. Like all my other pruners, I completley removed the little plastic lock; as they sometimes lock themselves when you close them during a cut! The spring in them is strong enough to always return them to the open position quick and snappy. Im not sure how much the "coating" (gold finish) helps? I find that I have to clean them of sticky residue as often as any other tool, it may help with the smoothness of shearing though?
PROS: Very smooth cutting action Built to last Very durable Sharp Strong Snappy Spring Very accurate (curved tip keeps it tight) High quality material/ Build Lightweight Ergonomic
CONS: sometimes lock themselves when in closed position (I just removed the lock; problem solved)

To avoid disappointment, don't buy these. The "precision blades" are as precise as a sledgehammer. It would help if both blades followed the same curve and had some kind of a tip, maybe an edge or two? Completely useless and a waste of time and money. I would return them, but it's going to cost half as much as they cost to do so. Buy something else.
I saw Vivosun products and seems like a good quality company. I bought a few things from them but these shears are good for single use. I trimmed my first plant and I immediatly noticed that much force was needed for cutting something as simple as a fan leaf. After I was all done I cleaned the shears using Isopropyl 99% and stored them on my indoor grow room (22C with 45% RH), no rust or nothing but can't cut bud branches and they tear fan leaves, so using my nails I get a cleaner cut. Nope I don't suggest these shears.
I have to submit a comment on these. When you get them and see the package, you’re like come on, I got duped. Because the package looks like it can straight from the dollar store. But these things are actually great. Sturdy. And sharp. I was pleasantly surprised.
i got these to replace my miracle gro pair. they worked great but i used them to snip one too many large branches i think. i came online to buy another pair and i found these at half the price of my old pair. these work just as well, the spring is tight, the lock works well and they snip things perfectly as my old pair.
if i had to complain, i dont feel the pics properly illustrate the curve in these. if holding in your hand they curve to the left or right, my old pair were straight so these are a bit strange. i was aware that these were curved from the description, but not exactly how. either way it doesnt make a difference to the plants.
I'm not sure if this is the case for every pair, but the pair i received are beyond dull, I cannot cut a 1/2 mm green twig (wet or dry) without it tearing up into fibers, I was hoping they were gonna be awesome.. they look cool and I really needed a new pair of arthritis-friendly trimming snips.
Good price, don't know if i would risk cutting much with them unless I get em professionally sharpened. They got here really fast also, they woke me up the night after i ordered them,. but they don't cut the things, disappointment.
Cuts well, fits in hand well, spring is quite strong. Nice finish, great grip, sharp, curved tip makes cutting close to stem easier. Curved tip also makes cutting way more accurate. Would buy again, but won't need to, these will last as long as I don't loose them.
This is an excellent little pair of cutters. I wanted something that is light, small and very sharp. Sometimes a standard garden pruner is just too big, so I acquired this one and it "fits the bill" exactly. If you need a small pruner for delicate work, I recommend this pruner.
these work great. sharp. nice curve on them. only thing that was annoying is the little clip that holds them closed will sometimes slip down in the midst of using them and locks them closed. so we just busted the black clip off and now they’re way better. :)
Thought these were supposed to have gold blades which is why I bought. Came silver. Latch mechanism slides down, preventing blades from closing all the way. Gets annoying if you're dead heading a giant pot of pansies for example.
