This item is counterfeit, yet despite being advised as such, Amazon just keep on selling them. Sure, they take returns willingly, but why waste everybody's time and let these pathetic scammers get away with this? Not everybody will readily pick the dodginess here.
Some giveaways that these are rip-offs:
- They're a little lighter in weight than a genuine DualShock 4
- They have different, spongier D-pads than the genuine DualShock 4
- The rear light bar is slightly raised, not flush
- The built-in speaker is louder than that in a genuine DualShock 4
- The kicker: Each one has the same serial number - 11202301501268 (!)
If you wish to buy a genuine DualShock, I'd suggest going through a reputable seller - and giving up hope on getting anything other than boring red, white, blue, camo or black at a bargain price until Sony release more interesting colours again.
