To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Was fun to use, had to return it because of the lack of games who supported Full body tracking and all the troubleshooting I had to go through at the first setup. I had a tracker that needed to be connected to a power source almoat every time I wanted to use it. Its was so clunky to use with steam VR that I never knew if they would all connect on the first try. Wouldnt buy again.
I've had a host of constant issues, and every person I have spoken to on VRChat has experienced similar problems.
Once you have them working, they're GREAT. The technology of full body tracking is amazing.
The problem is, virtually every time I turn these things on, I have to reconfigure or troubleshoot something, or the entire thing. 4 out of 5 times I use them I have to re-pair, unpair, swap, relaunch, and do a bunch of fiddling to get everything working the way it's supposed to. It's an enormous pain in the tush almost every time. I can change literally nothing in my configuration, and have to reconfigure it next time I use it. It's nonsensical.
One of the pucks also refuses to power on when I press the button, unless I first plug it into my PC. It won't power on when plugged into a USB charger, it will only turn on when plugged into a PC USB port. It's not a matter of a defective battery or being uncharged, because once it's on, it stays on for hours. What could cause such a strange issue, I don't know. Defective right out of the box and I'll need to send it back for replacement. Pain in the tush.
Too expensive for what you get. Hard to pair. Instructions do not match the software and no real support to help you with it. That and not many games support this. I would not recommend these until HTC improves the pairing and more games support them. One year later, and still pretty much no games support the tracker. I don't do VR chat, I'm into the adventure games, none of which support the tracker. Still disappointed, I am thinking that this just isn't catching fire with the developers.
I bought 3 trackers, 2 used and 1 new. The new one arrived first with all the parts; tracker, USB cord, Dongle cradle, and Wireless dongle. The used ones arrived only with the trackers. I was under the impression when purchasing the used ones I was also going to recieve used cords, cradles, and dongles. Either they need to elaborate that buying these used does not get one all the required peices to make them work, or they need to do a check to ensure that pieces are not getting left behind.
