This pump is small and light. Does not come with elbows or filter. I have spare elbows but there's no thread on the water intake and output connection. Not a pump one cannot fit and forget. Cheap and nasty. Don't buy.
Junk, will not shut off by the pressure switch, even with the psi setting at its lowest, it wont shut down and pisses water out of the pump gaskets, it pumps water just fine, but will not shut off, I am returning it today!
UPDATE : Bayite saw my review and contacted me, They sent out a new pump asap and the new one works good, no water leaks at the gaskets and it completely shuts off when water flow is stopped and it reached the set pressure. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This pump worked ok maybe 3 to 4 times then quit. After use each time, I wiped the pump down and also emptied the water from my tank. The next time I tried to use it, the pump itself would not run, but all the power connections were good when checked with a voltmeter. I took the pump housing apart from the motor housing (2 long screws, one on each side of housings) and it was obvious that water had seeped into the motor housing because it was rusted everywhere. I cleaned it up with fine sandpaper/emery cloth and sprayed it with white grease (that I had in an aerosol can) and it has worked for the 3 times that Ive used it since. Its obviously not sealing well between the pump housing and motor housing, so if you have problems with it not coming on and have used it a few times, you may be able to get it going again with a little effort. For the price though, it should be reliable and thats why Im only giving it 1 star.
Pumps water just fine but the pressure switch never worked on either of the two that I bought and neither one lasted more than six months of very occasional use. They both burned out and when the second one burned out it took the wire been it and the switch I had to install out with it. I’m lucky there wasn’t a fire honestly and these things are being marketed for use in vehicles. When they did work they worked well. Unfortunately they just didn’t work long.
I hooked it up to a sink, and it pumped beautifully and turned off automatically as it should. When I came to use the sink a few hours later, the water didn't flow. I inspected the pump and it was really hot. I opened it up and found the bearing was stuck and that the motor was stuck in one position. I lubricated everything and got the motor to spin properly again, though it did like to get stuck at a specific position. I hooked it up again, and it worked again, though only for an hour.
the water pump has a hard time sucking water up, and when it doe she prepared for it to come out full blast. we realized very quickly that it is either full blast stream of water or not at all. we had it connected to a faucet and when attempting to turn it down a little because of the power of the water splashing in the sink, the pressure built up within about 3 seconds and the tiny silicone blew up like a balloon with water and we had to quickly shut off the pump before the tube exploded. we really wanted this to work but we were just sadly disappointed
Pump worked fine, new hoses, water drawn from Oasis 5 gallon jug (clean, pure drinking water). Pressure was easily adjustable, pump shut off at desired pressure. Satisfactory amount of water flow considering size and price of pump. At about 3 gallons, with motor still running, water flow stopped. Opened up pump, looked good, put back together. With suction tube full of water and held above level of pump, no suction, water just dribbles out the output by gravity. TOTAL FAILURE TO PUMP AFTER 3 GALLONS.
I wanted to use this to pump water from containers (5 gal. Scepter water jugs) in the back of my truck while on an extended camping trip. I could never get the pump to consistently draw water from a container that was at the same height as the pump. I tried filling the tubes with water as per the instructions. Sometimes that helped. Usually it did nothing. Often it would lose pumping action after it began. The pump was mounted less than a foot from the container and was fed by a tube that was less than three feet long.
After a few days I gave up and used the jugs outside of the truck. I am now outside of the return window, so I guess I'll just toss this in the trash.
