Lifx - The Best Smart Lights On The Market By Far!

I now own just under 30 LIFX Smart Bulbs, not including 2 x Beam Feature Lights

What can I say? They are absolutely amazing in every way!

They work flawlessly on IOS and Android through their own LIFX app and are easily voice-controlled through Siri, Alexa and Google

They have totally transformed my home

Light, Lighting and Colour are such an integral part of our lives and once you experience just one colour changing bulb in their series with the multitude of colours and effects along with the ease of controlling them through your voice assistants there will be no looking back

They have totally enhanced my living environment is such a positive way

These ones were purchased for 2 x bedside table lamps and 1 x large floor standing feature lamp. They all had the smaller e14 fittings and at the moment until LiFX release e14 bulbs I just used their e27 mini colour 1000 with DiCuno e14 to e27 adapters (from Amazon) and they all worked perfectly

And Amazons prices for the singular and the pack of 4 I purchased were by far the best price I could find

Once again another Amazon 5 Star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 product! Great Price, Great Quality and Supersonic Delivery Speed!! 🕺👍☺️

Don’t work for our home

Look the product is fine it does exactly what it’s meant to do and the price made it good value.
That said we sound like a house of crazy people shouting at devices asking for lights to go on /off reduce brightness etc. The app once again is fine but doesn’t work well across multiple devices so when I was out with my phone and the app on my husbands iPhone phone wouldn’t work and Google home apparently didn’t understand him he was left sitting in the dark as we had installed a few of these globes around the house.
I feel like they are ok but we really just wanted a way to dim the lights without the expense of putting new lights in. These are not the answer having to open an app everytime you want to put a light on drives you nuts and even more so when the app hardly works.

Really good smart lightbulbs.

Did find the initial setup somewhat difficult, i.e. they would sometimes fail to setup and you would have to reset them and try again. We also had one out of the 4 bulbs begin to malfunction after a few days, but LIFX was super easy to deal with and they sent a replacement no hassle.

The dimming and dusk settings are fantastic - exactly what is advertised. Also the colour and brightness can be set with google assistant.

Have not had them drop off the network and have worked flawlessly with google assistant. We do have a fairly good mesh setup, and the worst would be a slight delay in a command, but very tolerable. Phone app works fine too.

Be careful about the clearance you have for where you are installing the lights. These light are a little bigger than your standard globes, so if there's a cover it may not fit back on.

Had been looking for a while at smart lights and we're very happy with our LIFX.

I now prefer these to the Hue White Ambiance. They feel as bright and the light quality is as good or better. The reliability is rock solid. There are less gradations in the colour temperature range but that doesn't bother me. They have a huge advantage in that the brightness/temperature can be adjusted with automation while the bulb is dark, which is not the case with Hue.

My Xiaomi Yeelight started behaving weirdly after around 18 months so grabbed one of these. Admittedly i only use the app and more-so so i have timed lighting in a lamp in the house at night for security and for my young child, but it's easy to use and program. Wish they were a little more affordable as my Yeelight cost less than this and has all colours, but i'm hoping this will last much longer!

I purchased one of the lights from JBHI fi just as a test and found it really useful in terms of keeping my body in sync with the normal circadian rhythms. It also meant that I could adjust my circadian rhythms to be in sync with the time-zones I am working in without feeling tired. This is my third bulb and I plan to buy a few more each time I get paid. They don't come in E14 at the moment so I had to purchase an adapter as most of my lamps are E14 sockets. I Purchased the DiCUNO E14 to E27 adapter.

If you set it up correctly it works really well with Google Home, although it is mostly in terms of turning on and off. The functionality does not seem to be there yet to use Google Home to adjust the lights colour temperature.

My setup is that I have an Apple ecosystem with Google home. Using the Lifx app and Apple Home I can control the lights with ease on my Apple watch, iPhone and iPad.

These bulbs work well but a little pricey

The Lifx bulbs are among the more expensive smart bulbs. Brighter bulbs, some with colour, are available from other manufacturers but these have one benefit over the other bulbs I have tried: the dimming function works very well in a proper linear fashion. For example 50% brightness looks like 50% rather than 80% on other bulbs. At 800 lumens the bulbs won't be bright enough for every application but they should be Ok for smaller rooms and lamps.. Integration with Google Home was straightforward but Lifx bulbs require the Lifx app to set. They don't work with the Arlec app Grid Connect for example like many other smart bulbs. Finally these bulbs have an unusual profile compared to most other bulbs with a flat rather than semispherical top. These bulbs do work well but with good options at significantly lower prices I can't wholeheartedly recommend them.

Amazing quality lights that just work

Amazing quality lights that are not only super bright with all colours but simply just work. No need for a controller or hub that others need. I have over 30 LifX lights, had to warranty replace one (which was a very straight forward, quick and easy process. A+ support) with Google Home (Yes, I realize the irony of buying off Amazon) but also have tried with Alexa with a similar positive experience.

Only connection issues I've seen is with people using multiple lights and crappy low grade wireless or low-grade internet connection. You also have to kinda commit yourself to using Alexa or Google... Simply using the app to control the lights can be a pain. No dimmer switches or controls like you see with Hue lights. Also more integration with other smart home applications would be nice. I have IFTTT and Home Assistant running which is brilliant and lets me integrate with everything but your "normal" non tech nerd would probably like more ways of controlling everything.

Overall, excellent quality lights for someone who just wants a few smart lights or the crazy people who want their whole house decked out in smart lights and have the know-how to set up integration with everything else.

Cheap to get, easy to set up via the LIFX App, and Alexa found them almost immediately. If you want simple on/off Smart Lights for your house, these are the ones to get -- and they last over 22 years, so you may well never need to change your light bulbs again. Only issue is that sometimes when the Broadband is lost they won't reconnect; just turn them on/off again (only once) and wait a bit.

Quality product. This is definitely not the cheapest smart bulb on the market but if you want something that will work perfectly out of the box with a really simple and intuitive set-up then this is the product for you.
I've used the Android app on my phone for this and it works flawlessly, the bulb is always highly responsive when I select something in the app and has never bugged out on me. I will definitely get more of these in the future.

I had good experience with it both for setup and actual use (for over 4 weeks now). The setup/ recognition time of the device from apps felt a bit longer than that of another brand I bought (MagicCLight) but I encountered no hiccups. I read quite some people rated the apps low but maybe they experience more issues with colour bulbs while mine is just white. I used google assistant and works like a charm.
My country uses E27 so I just bought a E27 / B22 converter.
