Solid starter kit
Reviewed in Australia on 8 October 2020
This is a solid, and very complete starter kit to get up and running with the wonderful world of Arduino. Just keep in mind that it's not a genuine Arduino, but a a very decent clone.
The kit comes with all the associated bits and pieces you'll need for all sorts of tweaking and fiddling. It's very convenient to get it all in one box, rather than have to try and source 5x 1kΩ resistors, 2x 100µF capacitors etc, as well as so many pre-built modules, like an accelerometer, a joystick, a LCD screen, a RFID card reader (with key fob and card!) and plenty more. Oh, and there's a huge PDF with step-by-step projects to get you up and running. My only criticism of the tutorials is that they tell you a bit about what they are going to do, and then you load the code to flash onto the Arduino, but it's up to you to read the code to understand what's going on.
If you have any kind of interest in programming and electronics, you could do a lot worse than starting out with this kit, it'll keep you going for hours.
