Ruined by a flawed design
Reviewed in Australia on 19 June 2020
This product is a fantastic premise, using existing electrical wiring to forward a wired ethernet signal to parts of your house far from a Wi-Fi router, and it works as described, you get an improved internet connection as a result.
Where it really fails, is the design. It is so wide that it blocks the other socket in a standard Australian double wall plug. This is shocking, especially considering you pay a 50% premium to get the "power outlet pass through" functionality. I have no design experience but the solution is obvious - have one that is slightly off-centre to the left, and one to the right.
As a result of this design failure, I had to put the receiver plug on an extension cable - it still works, however only at about 20% of the speed that it would get were it plugged directly into the wall. It also looks very messy and gives me more cable to hide.
I really wanted to like this product, it has improved my setup slightly, hence 2 stars, but I am so annoyed that it takes up both sockets that I really can't recommend this product to anyone.
