To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
It does work. Fortunately, I know some basic electrical and electronics. Otherwise, I'd be totally lost. Not sure why, but the diode supplied is useless. I fail to see what the point of it is. When I attempted to ask, the reply I got was in very poor English. The documentation is horrible. The documentation that comes with it is somewhat different that what is on this page. The screws that come with it include two sets of very different self tapping screws, and it's anybody's guess which part they go with. The third set is blunt, non tapping screws that seem to go with nothing else in the package, so I had to buy my own screws. I would recommend you solder the wires/contacts to the actual strike plate. Hope you know how to do that! Oh, and I had to guess which was positive and which was negative based on the backwards schematic provided. All in all, I would only recommend this to someone who knows enough electrical/electronics skills to figure it out, or to someone willing to hire someone who knows what they're doing.
