Works OK as a Web Camera. It is also be helpful in a teaching situation where display of instructors drawing and presentation would be effective for a large number of people to view.
However, I wanted to use it as document copier. Not! I tried to copy articles from old newspapers, for historical purposes, and failed. The small type was hard to see, and impossible to OCR.. If the camera were at least 12 MP, or better yet 16 MP, it could really be called a document copier.
Great quality, but the pre-processing within the unit introduces an obvious lag between the audio and the video - up to a 1 second delay - so much so that watching a recorded session is disruptive and off-putting. I'm returning it and buying the cheaper version - it's a straight camera feed to the computer, so the lag issue should not exist. If it does, then I'll have some serious issues with the hype generated around this company and their products. And I'll resort to use my HUE that has served me we to this point, though it lacks in flexibility and camera positioning.
I purchased this in March 2020. As a teacher, this document camera SAVED me during remote and hybrid learning. I used it everyday and was fully satisfied. However, it is now October 2020 and I am having issues with the USB port. The power portion does not appear to be "tight" enough anymore, the USB fits however the connection is loose and the camera will not effectively turn on (I can no longer use it to record videos). I am quite frustrated... it was going so well.
