2.0 out of 5 starsJust as irritating scent as companion shampoo
Reviewed in Canada on 11 March 2019
We thought we'd give this vine test product a try even though we couldn't use its' companion shampoo. So many other conditioners have been different enough scent- wise than their own companion shampoos we'd hope it was the same case with this one. Unfortunately there is something in the perfume of this product that isn't just smelly to us but actually physically irritating. We'll have to pass on assessing it's quality of use because we really couldn't get past the scent. The current price for this product is $40.00 and we don't feel it is reasonable for most people's hair care budget.
I didn't really notice any huge difference in my hair after using this. I found the conditioner a bit dry and took a lot to coatmy hair so for $40 for the bottle this would be way to expensive for long hair. I left it a good 5 minutes and even added a bit of water then rubbed it in some more.
The bottle wasn't my favorite design. A giant mouth staring at me in the shower is weird. And I didn't really like the strong scent. Really strong purfume smell. This one just isn't for me but I would be open to trying any others in the line!
Many of the comments for this product raved about the scent; prompting me to purchase without having smelled myself. I will not make that mistake again. Either I received an expired batch or other reviewers idea of a nice scent and mine differ greatly. The scent is like that of a cheap perfume you have had for 10-15 years. It’s that cheap, old, rank type smell.
Next, let me talk about the actual product, not the scent. The product does not moisturize, it does not help with frizz, it does nothing at all except make your hair smell bad.
