To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
To access your Rare Replay download code. You need to go into your 1) amazon app 2) select amazon messages 3) select “other messages” 4) your promo code is in the messages here- tricky to find. Hope this helps.
The add said "Rare Replay" on prime day, but upon ordering it was changed to "xbox game pass". So now we don't have a game, and only 3mo free of game pass. I wish I would have caught it because its a 11yr old birthday present and now I have to order the replay game seperate.
Overall the Xbox is cool but has disappointing issues.
I had a Nintendo before this. First off, there’s no comparison in the graphics. The Xbox blows away the NES.
Second, I think the controller is nice but it takes batteries. The Nintendo controllers plug right in to the gaming console. Plus the Nintendo has a shoot button and jump button making life simple when controlling your guy in a first person shooter like contra or ikari warriors. But the Xbox has a bunch more buttons and two sticks to make your guy do things. I don’t remember all those buttons when things are really getting heated. I try to just use the jump and shoot ones when I get confused. I wish Xbox would streamline and get rid of the extra buttons. It would probably be a popular idea for everybody who wants intense gameplay without sacrificing jump/shoot performance.
Music goes to Nintendo. I don’t even think Xbox puts music on many of its games. But on Goonies2 the music is awesome. The cyndi lauper cover song is note for note identical to the original.
The Xbox games seem to take a lot longer to load. Like 60-90 seconds sometimes. The cool part is the Xbox enemy guys talk back to you. This is where Xbox is way better than the Nintendo game play experience. Sometimes the enemies have weird accents or even little kid voices. But what’s really cool is the deep personal story lines Xbox has created for these enemies. I played One enemy guy in Sea of thieves and his story line was about how he slept all day and woke up at like 6 at night to sail the ship and find treasure. Pretty neat. He actually moved sides and helped me shoot the other enemy guys.
But even with the cool enemies, in the end, I’ll take the Nintendo because it is faster and easier to play games.
Was a good price ($250 at time of purchase) for the XBOX One S, the system seems to run fine most of the time too. However, the the system sometimes wouldn't load textures or they would take too long to load (ie. Doom) and noticably fade in, breaking the immersion. For a game system, the immersion should never be broken, and on top of that the visuals needed to be downgraded for the system to even handle the game, so I was a bit disappointed.
I have recently canceled the Game Pass because I just don't think it's worth it, and I have also gone back to PC gaming because there are better deals on from places like Steam and GOG; I pay less for games and get better visual quality from my PC - which can be hooked up to the TV through HDMI JUST LIKE THE XBOX, so the XBOX doesn't have any advantage in my mind aside from having a lower start-up cost.
