To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This speaker is so good that I decided to buy a second one for my mother. The sound is incredible coming from such a small device. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, and it's recharged by the USB port. It can also play audio through the USB port. In other words, when you connect it to the computer with the USB cable, you can play your computer's audio through the speaker. It has a clock and calendar, which are Chinese style (24-hour clock, yyyy/mm/dd) but I learned to tell time that way in high school French class. The date is self explanatory. When it arrives, the default volume is full on, so be prepared for a loud blast of sound the first time you play it. This speaker has a "line in" jack that is 3.5mm (regular headphone size) and it comes with a cord for that. It will play music off of a micro SD card. I used an 8gb one. The sound is full and crisp. However... I subtracted one star because when playing music from the micro sd card, it only plays the right channel, and not the left also. It does that with the USB audio as well. I was very disappointed when I discovered this. I knew it would be mono sound since there is only one speaker, but I didn't expect that it would isolate one channel when you play from the micro sd or USB audio. Fortunately, the fm radio plays both channels combined, and so does the line-in. I have a small fm transmitter that I can connect to the headphone jack of my mp3 player so that I get wireless sound via the built-in fm radio. Plus, I can connect the line-in cord to the headphone jack of my mp3 player and connect it directly to the speaker and it plays both channels, too. I still recommend these speakers for their sound quality, price, and utility. I'd like it if someone were to make these again, but fix those simple problems it has. Make a cube like this with two speakers and the ports on the back. Or at the very least, make it so that the one speaker plays both channels at once. I hope that this was helpful.
