I absolutely love these pads and I'm so glad I found them! They're so much better than the ones you buy at the pharmacy like Always or whatever. The design is so much better (especially the long & overnight ones) They're super absorbant, they don't irritate my skin - and I have extremely sensitive skin. They stick well, they don't move once they're on, they're just all around awesome and in my opinion, totally worth the price.
I’ve used Always Infinity pads for years, and have been very hesitant to try anything new in my routine. But I’ve wanted to go with something more natural for a little while, since I don’t really want to be absorbing strange chemicals into my lady parts. I tried LOLA brand organic cotton pads a while back and did not like them. I also tried THINX underwear, which I do like, the only problem with them being that they’re rather difficult to change when you’re spending a day at work....
I decided to try Rael on a whim and boy am I pleasantly surprised! I only used them for one cycle but so far here’s what I like;
They are very comfortable, I can see them being perfect for women with sensitive skin. They also feel drier than my Always Infinities, and they’re thicker so I feel like they’ll hold more longer (usually I can get 3 hours on a heavy flow out of my Always pads but I might be able to push longer with Rael). I don’t notice the thickness difference much. The design of them is intended to prevent side leaks and it seems to work.
Double wings! I definitely like this aspect, they keep the pad in place in the back really well.
The number of sizes Rael offers is really nice. I typically used Always size 5’s because I have a heavier flow for the first 2-3 days and shorter pads just didn’t work. Rael’s Overnights seem to be the exact length of the Always 5’s and the Large’s compare to Always size 4’s. I might try the Extra Overnights sometime.
The wrapping. It’s really nice to see just average white wrapping on the pads instead of BRIGHT colors that just announce to the whole world what you’re doing. I prefer being discreet.
These pads also seem to cut down on odor which is always a plus.
Cons: I do think the wings could be a little stickier, you have to really press sometimes to make sure they stay.
Because these are thicker, they are harder to carry around. They make my purse bulkier which means less can fit in it. Also, if you happen to be somewhere you can’t or don’t feel comfortable throwing your pad away, storing them rolled up in your purse until you get home is tricky.
Overall I think these are worth the investment and I’m fairly positive I will be subscribing to these from now on.
They're comfortable (as comfortable as pads go anyway), they absorb a lot, and I feel good knowing they're made of 100% cotton. I've never had an issue with leaking or spilling over the side either. Thumbs up!
