I was very surprised at the sound quality and build this small cheap amplifier. I was mainly getting this for a small pair of older B&W speakers (DM302), as I'm travelling a bit for work shortly (in the car) and wanted to take some music with me. It sounded so good with them, I tried in on my other speakers that I have at home - including large floor standing Linn and B&W speakers (I have a few different pairs of both).
It was surprising good - the amp had no trouble driving a pair of B&W 603 or my older Linn Keilidth speakers. Sure, it didn't have the same 'oomph' that my normal big amp has, but it was very listenable to at moderate volumes.
The bluetooth quality is certainly lower than the audio quality from the rear plugs - but it varied from horrible (from an old phone) to reasonable from a modern device (ie my Microsoft surface pro).
Other positives - 1) there is no discernable hum or hiss when nothing is playing, even if you stick your ear right up to the speaker. 2) there are no annoying pops or crackles through the speakers when you turn it on. 3) there is a mechanical relay (you can hear it click) that swaps from bluetooth to the back panel input. 4) pairing just works with a range of devices (I used a number of phones, plus windows tablets and laptops). 5) The power supply it arrived with - in Australia - was a proper 240V one, not a 220V one. This is very useful for me as we quite often have over 250V at the socket..
The only negative I could see was the lack of an optical input, but FOSI have other units that can do that.
So yep, it and my dm302s, and a rca cable, are going travelling with me shortly. And when I get home it's going to replace one of my older main amps...
I bought this because I wanted a simple, inexpensive, small form amplifier to drive some Yamaha speakers (AW592 - all weather speakers) in my workshop. This little amp exceeded my expectations. It drives the speakers well and the sound quality is more than acceptable. The bluetooth connection has been easy to establish and consistent. I've been using it every day for a couple of weeks now and remain very happy with the purchase.
Great little amp easy to use just plug in and turn of link to your blue tooth on your phone and play way. Could be a little stronger/louder but for AU$125 its great. Puts use to all those great speakers we have lying around and kicks all those blur tooth all in one speakers to the ground. You can actually have a "stereo system" with the convenience of a phone
Great sound and excellent 2 channel receiver - not so good on Bluetooth - sound still low - wanted it to increase sound output from the Bluetooth on the TV - However for general music it is an awesome buy - Sorry re tech speech - my husband is the sound engineer, not me - I just advise if it sounds OK or not-This definitely sounds great!!!
The Fosi Bluetooth stereo amplifier arrived very quickly. It was simple to install and connected to my Android tablet via Bluetooth in seconds. Sound quality via my JPW speakers is very good. I am extremely pleased with the product & highly recommend it.
Straight out of the box this worked a treat. Connected speakers easily and was able to connect via bluetooth without any issues. Very happy with this product and would recommend it to others wanting to run 2 bookshelf speakers.
I tested this amplifier by playing demanding symphonic music of the late romantic era with a massive orchestra. All the instruments: strings, brass, woodwinds sound beautiful and clean, even on loud volume. This tiny amplifier performs much better than a much larger pioneer amp that I have. It has the added bonus that the manufacturer gives you a generous 18-month warranty, so this is an indication of the quality control.
Small, powerful, simple to operate and cheap. Hooked it up to my tv and b&w m1 speakers , connected to my iPhone Bluetooth within seconds. Only gripe is that the base and treble don’t impact on the volume as you would expect.
Having read many reviewers rave about the sound quality, I must say it is disappointing, but it’s a great little amp and I’m very happy with it for what it delivers for the price & size & ease of Bluetooth connection.
